Release of a Deer

Janabe Umme Salamah narrates that Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was going towards desert when he heard a voice calling, ‘O Prophet of Allah’. When he turned back, he saw a deer that was in shackles. He (s.a.w.a.) asked her what her need was. She replied: “This Bedouin has captured me. I have two fawns on the mountain. Please release me so that I can go and feed them and return.” Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) asked her: “will she return?’ She replied in affirmative. He (s.a.w.a.) released her. She went and then after feeding her young ones, she returned. Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) then tied her back. Meanwhile the Bedouin awaked from his sleep. He (s.a.w.a.) narrated the Bedouin the full incident. The Bedouin released the deer and the deer said: “I bear witness that there is no God except Allah. And Surely Mohammad (s.a.w.a.) is the Messenger of Allah.”

One night, when I was doing the Tawaf, I noticed an extremely handsome and fragrant young man walking about and doing the Tawaf of the Kaaba. Some feelings arose in my heart; I moved towards him and touched him. He asked: Where do you belong to? I said: Iraq. He asked: Where in Iraq? I said: ...
