Enlivening of Donkey

Ali Ibne Hamza narrates that one day Imam Moosa Kazim (a.s.) took me towards the desert of Medina. There we found a person crying and in front of him there was dead donkey. Imam (a.s.) asked him about the matter?. He replied:" I along with my friends were travelling for Hajj. On the day, my donkey died. My friends have left, I have no other animal to take me on my journey."

Imam (a.s.) said: " Is it possible that the donkey has not died?" Man said:" Instead of having mercy on me you are mocking at me.". At that moment Imam (a.s.) said something which could not be understood by us. Then Imam (a.s.) picked a stick lying there and hit the donkey and shouted at it. The donkey sprang on its feet and became fine.

Imam (a.s.) asked him"do you find anything worth mocking! Go join you friends"

Ibne Hamza narrates that one day I was near the well of Zam Zam in Mecca, I saw that man. He came towards me and kissed my hands. I enquired from him about his donkey.

He replied " My donkey is healthy and safe. Where is that person who gave life to my donkey after its death?"

Ibne Hamza replied: " you have achieved your aim. Do not ask about the one to whose essence you can reach."

On the way, one day at Johfa I headed for Ghadeer, which is at a distance of four miles from Johfa. I reached there and prayed in the Masjid and after that I supplicated Almighty Allah very fervently; but the aim was not fulfilled there also. So I went to Asfan and thus passing each stage in turn, reached Mecca. I stayed there for some days and was engrossed in Tawaf and other devotions. One night, when I was doing the Tawaf, I noticed an extremely handsome and fragrant young man walking about and doing the Tawaf of the Kaaba. Some feelings arose in my heart; I moved towards him and touched him. He asked: Where do you belong to? I said: Iraq. He asked: Where in Iraq? I said: ...
