Knowledge about time of death of people

Ishaq Ibne Ammar narrates that Imam Moosa Kazim(a.s.) was imprisoned by Haroon Rashid. Abu Yusuf and Mohammad Ibne Hasan, companions of Abu Hanifah had gone to visit Imam (a.s.). At that time a guard of Sindi Ibne Shahek came and said if he required anything as his guarding time was completing. Imam (a.s.) replied him that he was not in need of anything. When the guard left, Imam (a.s.) informed Abu Yusuf and Mohammad Ibne Hasan that how can I ask for my requirement to him while he will die today.

Both of them stood from the meeting of Imam (a.s.) and said that we had come to seek reply from you concerning obligations and Sunnah while you have said something from Ilme Ghaib.

Both of them appointed a person to follow the guard and inform them about the situation of the guard the next day. That person went and slept in the masjid which was near the house of the guard. Next morning he heard the voice of crying from the house of the guard. When he enquired about the lamentation, he was informed that without any apparent cause the guard died in the night. He informed the news of the death of the guard to Abu Yusuf and Mohammad Ibne Hasan.

Both of them went in the presence of Imam (a.s.) and said we thought you were having knowledge of Halal and Haraam. From where did you acquire the Unseen divine knowledge?

Imam (a.s.) replied: I have received the knowledge from the door regarding which Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had informed. The door is Imam Ali Ibne Abi Taalib (a.s.)

When they heard this they were astonished and had no reply.

When I reached Medina, I inquired from the people about the descendants of Imam Hasan Askari (a), but could not get any information. I was very much worried and at last set out for Mecca. On the way, one day at Johfa I headed for Ghadeer, which is at a distance of four miles from Johfa. I reached there and prayed in the Masjid and after that I supplicated Almighty Allah very fervently; but the aim was not fulfilled there also. So I went to Asfan and thus passing each stage in turn, reached Mecca. I stayed there for some days and was engrossed in Tawaf and other devotions. One night, when I was doing the Tawaf, I noticed an extremely handsome and fragrant young man walking about and doing the Tawaf of the Kaaba. Some feelings arose in my heart; I moved towards him and touched him. He asked: Where do you belong to? I said: Iraq. He asked: Where in Iraq? I said: ...
