Marking of companions of Ahkaf

Caliph Mahdi ordered a well to be dug for Hajj pilgrims at a place named “kabrul abadi” between qadsiya and azeeb.when the workers dug the well up to a limit, a poisonous wind came out from one of the opening as a result of which some workers died on the spot. The work of digging the well was stopped. Later, the scholars were asked but none could offer any explanation. Mahdi asked this to Imam Musa Kazim (as) .He (as) replied: these are the companions of Ahkaf they are related to the nation of Aad and this is the wind divine chastisement which destroyed the entire nation. Incident of Ibne Mahziyar Ahwazi

Ali Ibne Ibrahim bin Mahziyar narrates one year when the Hajj season arrived, I prepared for the journey and set out to Medina. When I reached Medina, I inquired from the people about the descendants of Imam Hasan Askari (a), but could not get any information. I was very much worried and at last set out for Mecca. On the way, one day at Johfa I headed for Ghadeer, which is at a distance of four miles from Johfa. I reached there and prayed in the Masjid and after that I supplicated Almighty Allah very fervently; but the aim was not fulfilled there also.
