Saad bin Salam says: I went to the Imam with ten individuals and told him that he did not possess the qualifications of an imam because his father has not declared his appointment (Nass).

When we mentioned this, a voice came from under the solid floor below us,

“He is our Imam and he is the Imam of everything.”

After that when Imam Ali Reza (a) entered the Masjid of Abu Ja’far City, the doors and walls of the Masjid began to converse with him and salutation on the Imam arose from them.

Incident of Ibne Mahziyar Ahwazi

Ali Ibne Ibrahim bin Mahziyar narrates one year when the Hajj season arrived, I prepared for the journey and set out to Medina. When I reached Medina, I inquired from the people about the descendants of Imam Hasan Askari (a), but could not get any information. I was very much worried and at last set out for Mecca. On the way, one day at Johfa I headed for Ghadeer, which is at a distance of four miles from Johfa. I reached there and prayed in the Masjid and after that I supplicated Almighty Allah very fervently; but the aim was not fulfilled there also. So I went to Asfan and thus passing each stage in turn, reached Mecca. I stayed there for some days and was engrossed in Tawaf and other devotions.
